"We were not sure what we were getting into but our expectations were blown away.
The league was perfect for our team to develop their skills while learning the game of basketball. We do not get this in other leagues where winning is the #1 priority.
Kudos to you Blue Jay Basketball Club!"

What is the target competetion level for your league seasons? Expand
Blue Jay Basketball Club is an organization focused on offering competition levels for beginners to more advanced levels. Bondurant teams in the Fall League Season will be teams with balanced rosters. We believe that balancing a roster allows players to develop different aspects of their game (both skill level and mentally).
Blue Jay Basketball Club seasons are designed to progress in competition levels with each league season.
- Fall Season (November/December) is designed to be a recreational/developmental league season for all levels of players. This is our largest league season of the year.
- Fall league targets around B & C level teams
- Winter League Season (January) is designed strictly for recreational level players that are not ready for competitive tournament play.
- Winter league target teams should be in the "B" to "B+" level teams
- Summer League Season (July) is designed for more advanced players as teams playing in the summer typically have players that play more ball and are seeking to really advance their game in the off-season.
- Summer League is our most competitive level of ball which targets "A" level teams
Can I sign up a team for just one weekend of games?
Teams that commit to a full league season will be given priority during the registration process. You may email Blue Jay Basketball Club if you would like to be put on a list for a single weekend. We can not guarantee we accommodate every request but will do our best, particularly, if there is a cancellation.
My team is a newer team with less experience than may others. Should I join?
Absolutely!
Blue Jay Basketball Club Director, Dan Berggren, works hard and takes pride in ensuring teams have a great experience participating in our leagues. We do our best to schedule teams that are of equal strengths. In fact - we may only schedule a few weeks of games at a time to ensure teams are aligned with equal talent level. This approach allows the league to remain flexible to ensure teams are competing against adequate levels competition.
What are the goals of the Blue Jay Basketball Club League seasons?
The top goal of our league seasons is to develop youth in all areas in basketball. We believe great upper-level basketball starts with great fundamental play which includes fundamental skills but also learning the rules, sportsmanship and how to properly compete in this great game!
We want a competitive atmosphere, but we believe developing our youth in a fun and safe environment is more important than the outcome of any game.
You league sounds great, where do I register our team?!
We look forward to hosting and exceeding your expectations during our league seasons!
